Chanterelles season

With its fruity aroma and spicy pepper-like taste chanterelles are popular edible mushrooms since ancient times.

Certainly the best is to collect the chanterelles fresh from the forest. In Austria you can go on a mushroom foray from June to September, then the Golden Mushrooms (also known as "gold of the forrest") can be found in deciduous and coniferous forests.

We are currently serving the gold of the forest in our gourmet menu.
